In addition to the pools, the sports courts, the restaurants, the bars and lounges, the Greenhouse Spa & Salon, the Casino, the Shops, and the Kids' Club the ship offers a wealth of Activities to occupy you at sea.
Here are a sampling of the types of Activities you can watch or participate in on the Nieuw Amsterdam during the day or in the evenings.
Everyone enjoys games from
games of chance (e.g., Bingo or Tournaments in The Casino) to games of knowledge (e.g., Team Trivia or Music Trivia), TV game shows (e.g.,
The Liar's Club or the Not-So-Newlywed Game), board games (e.g., Scrabble, Monopoly, or Mahjong), card games (e.g., Bridge) or jigsaw puzzles. You

You'll find shows every
evening, recent movies (plus classic Christmas movies) most afternoons and evenings, and musical entertainment throughout the ship. To learn more,

Holland America Line is particularly lauded for its commitment to enrichment and cultural events,
specifically related to the destinations of the cruise. There will also be port talks for each port (as well as a talk from the Shopping
Ambassador). There will probably be "Coffee Talks" where the heads of various ship departments tell cruisers about their jobs and life on board the
ship for officers and crew. There will definitely be a tour of the ship's galley. Finally, there's the massive, multi-million dollar art collection

see a wide variety of activities in the category of Arts and Crafts available including cooking demonstrations and classes, demonstrations of the
creation of the adorable towel animals, stunning ice carvings, and beautiful fruit and vegetable carvings you'll see every day. You can also expect
classis in napkin folding, origami, and modern brush lettering. You'll also find meet-ups for knitters and those who enjoy coloring for adults. To

There are a
huge number of activities each day to help you get moving (and work off all that wonderful food you've been eating). You'll find the group
"Walk-a-Mile" each morning plus classes in line dancing, tai chi, pickleball, abs workouts, stretch classes, along with traditional shipboard games
