Sea View Pool

The Sea View Pool (aft Deck 9 - Lido Deck) is the smaller of the two swimming pools on the Nieuw Amsterdam (the other is the Lido Pool, midships on Lido Deck). The Sea View Pool is exclusively an outdoor pool and has incredible open views of the ocean on three sides.

Loungers surround the Sea View Pool, and I'm happy to report that there are almost always loungers available for use, unlike at the Lido Pool.

And (like the Lido Pool, the Sea View Pool on the Konigsdam has hot tubs. (Only two, but who's counting.)

The other golden nugget about the Sea View Pool is that it's one of only two areas on the Nieuw Amsterdam (the other is The Retreat forward Deck 11 - Observation Deck) that are designated "adults only" (and there are recent reports that HAL is enforcing this rule).

As with the Lido Bar, the Sea View Bar and its stewards are available to quench your thirst as you enjoy the sun at the Sea View Pool.

One potential downside about the Sea View Pool to consider is that the area around the Sea View Bar is the only spot on the Nieuw Amsterdam where smoking is permitted, and there have been complaints from some cruisers about that smoke interfering with their enjoyment of the Sea View Pool.
