Many of those on the Great Alaska Explorer Cruise will be in Neptune Suites.
Neptune Suites are much larger than Signature Suites, their verandahs are much roomier with more furniture, they have significantly more storage space, and come with a host of other amenities that can really enhance your stay.
Your bathrobe will be thick terrycloth, rather than a waffle fabric. Your bed (which can still convert to two singles) is king-size rather than queen-size. You get complementary laundry service. You have a coffee/espresso maker in your cabin. You can have afternoon tea service (with little sandwiches and pastries) or pre-dinner hors d'oeuvres served in your cabin. You'll receive priority embarkation and debarkation and priority boarding at tender ports.
Best of all, you get access to the Neptune Lounge, conveniently located midships on Deck 7 - Rotterdam Deck (where your cabins are likely to be). The Neptune Lounge is a lovely spot to relax, chat with other cruisers, or have coffee, tea, juices, pastries, and snacks.
You also have a private concierge in the Neptune Lounge who can assist with anything you need from booking specialty dining or shore excursion reservations or assisting with other issues you'd have to stand in line to resolve at Guest Services. Your concierge is also available by phone from your cabin with a single-touch button. I speak from experience when I say that availability of the concierge is a Big Deal!
